Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to express about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "any day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public figures shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
