Barça to Host Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
